cbs Graduates Programme: Voice of Our Graduate

By Muhamad Khairul Izuddin Ramly

I was an Analyst and Trainee for the past two years working on ‘SAP ABAP and ERP Data Migration in other companies. As I was actively looking for a job opportunity, I chanced upon cbs Graduate Programme on LinkedIn. For me, I needed a chance to venture back to the SAP industry.

I see this programme as an opportunity for me to embark on developmental growth in my SAP career. I would expect that there would be guidance and tutor throughout the programme, and all I needed was the willingness to learn. I was hoping to secure my first stable job and continue my SAP career in this industry.

I had a slow start at the beginning of the programme but eventually, pick up the pace and was on the same beat as other graduates. Looking back six months later, I had a wonderful experience with my fellow graduate along with the entire cbs Asia Pacific colleagues. Just like how I envisioned, I had the chance to shadow an experienced mentor. On the job training also allowed me to adjust to a professional setting.

Voice of our graduate

I see this programme as an opportunity for me to embark on developmental growth in my SAP career. I would expect that there would be guidance and tutor throughout the programme, and all I needed was the willingness to learn.

One of the key takeaways was the two-way communication with the whole cbs family. The friendliness and approachability of our mentors had showered and nurtured me patiently with lots of fruitful knowledge. Similar to my previous company, cbs also understand the meaning of being in the same boat. From my point of view, there is no visible office diplomatic going on. The communication between the different levels of seniorities, staff and position is transparent.

On a softer note, cbs Asia Pacific was a lot of fun. Personally, I have never been left alone nor ignored despite being a junior member of the company. Everyone seems always to respond enthusiastically, helping other fellow graduates and me.

For me, this programme helps the fresh graduate to lay down the much-needed foundation and groundwork of this industry. As a new full-fledged consultant now, I want to be the best version of what I am now and make my mentors feel proud when we reunite in our future endeavours. Keep lighting up the will to learn and improve, and you can surely achieve the best version of yourself in this industry.
