cbs Graduates Programme: Voice of Our Graduate

By Hakimah Mohd Razib

To experience a transparent hierarchy that is being practised in cbs was really great as it feels like you would easily reach out to anyone, like a family, to seek help or have a talk about anything. Everyone I have encountered is supportive and open-minded.

I joined the cbs Graduate Programme amid the pandemic and was expecting a heavy remote centric working environment. Nonetheless, employees in cbs do feel appreciated with all the initiatives driven internally. I was also appreciative of how the town hall meeting, organised Chit-chat session and game month were conducted, which I had not previously experienced.

Having a helpful and supportive environment was a bonus. I set off this journey, hoping to gain more experience working on projects, deepening my knowledge in SAP technical know-how, and understanding the functional scope of work. My technical skill set was relatively weak, and I wanted to deepen my SAP knowledge. This programme gave me a perfect opportunity to do so with tailored classroom training on the SAP modules and on-job training afterwards.

My journey in the cbs Graduate Programme was a bit of a shaky start, and I quickly realised that once my foundation became stable, I found a better rhythm to further my career development.

Voice of our graduate

To experience a transparent hierarchy that is being practised in cbs was really great as it feels like you would easily reach out to anyone, like a family, to seek help or have a talk about anything. Everyone I have encountered is supportive and open-minded.

Before joining cbs, I had a year of working experience. But in these short six months with cbs, I have been exposed to SAP modules more than ever before, obtaining hands-on experience from on-the-job training. One fun fact was how SAP modules interact with each other, the best practice in each industry, and effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.

Working as a consultant can be tough with the multiple project datelines and needing to know your priorities. Still, I think you have to challenge yourself to open up to new possibilities. For anyone interested in joining this programme, I have five reasons why this might be of interest to you.

  • cbs has excellent training opportunities and career development waiting for you.
  • There are a variety of opportunities available once you complete your training.
  • Be prepared for new challenges – Often, the actual job wasn’t necessarily related to what you study.
  • Always be ready to think outside the box when the opportunity presents itself
  • Challenge yourself for new possibilities.

It is a programme where cbs train and expose young and new fresh graduate in the SAP industry.
