The cbs team secured 1st runner‑up at the first-ever SAP Hack2Build for Business Data Cloud, standing out among strong competition from 11other renowned SAP partners in the final round.
The aim of SAP Hack2Build is to translate cutting-edge SAP technology into industry-relevant use cases. Our team developed ADDISSON – AI‑Driven Dynamic Inventory & Safety Stock Optimization solution, leveraging SAP BDC and S4/HANA, as well as SAP IBP, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Joule, and Databricks.
ADDISSON addresses one of the most pressing challenges in today’s supply chains: managing safety stock effectively in a volatile world shaped by geopolitical risks and rapidly changing market conditions. The solution is built on a central principle of the Agentic Enterprise: Data should not only describe the past, but by leveraging AI it actively informs decisions and triggers actions within operational processes.
SAP Flywheel in action
ADDISON combines operational data from SAP S/4HANA and planning data from SAP IBP with external market signals, such as oil prices, foreign exchange rates, and even satellite images via SAP Datasphere and Databricks. Predictive models in Databricks analyze demand volatility and supply risks to generate optimized safety stock recommendations.
These insights are visualized and simulated in SAP Analytics Cloud before being operationalized through a governed, multi‑level approval workflow built with SAP Build Apps, feeding approved decisions directly back into SAP S/4HANA. Supported by SAP Joule, humans stay in control, ensuring transparency, trust, and accountability.
ADDISSON thus moves beyond analytics, empowered by AI it serves as a decision‑support and execution layer that seamlessly connects a system of action with a system of records.
cbs analytics consultants from Germany and Malaysia developed the AI-driven solution in an intense sprint, working closely together across time zones. With this second-place finish, cbs continues its strong track record at SAP Hack2Build. After first-place wins in 2023, 2024 and 2025, the 2026 result once again underlines cbs’ role as a trusted innovation partner for SAP customers.
