AI based KPI Prediction & Optimization​

Topic: Prediction and optimization of KPIs

Challenge KPIs are the condensed result of a long chain of SAP documents in end-to-end processes, typically influenced by customizing and master data. The classical optimization of KPIs thus results in a detailed and complex analysis of all these points. That’s the haystack of SAP optimization.​
Our solution Leverage the compute power of AI. This leads to an AI-based KPI prediction at the beginning of an end-to-end processes (independent from SAP calculated dates) and even points to the most beneficial and decisive optimization points to address (the needle in the haystack). Can be applied to all kinds of SAP related KPIs (e.g. OTIF, utilization rate, returns / complaints ratio)​​.

Smart Glasses for hands-free SAP interaction

Topic: Rail logistics – smart glasses

Challenge: GMOS’ employees in inbound logistics spent a lot of time manually entering ID numbers from wagons into the SAP process. ID numbers are often hard to decipher through graphity and other obstacles.​

Our solution: Employees utilize data glasses to automize the manual task without using their hands. Through voice-commands, employees can take images of the wagons. The machine learning model, trained by cbs on customer specific data, identifies the ID number on these images and incorporates it into the SAP process. The user can steer follow-up activities like correcting the wagon sequence in the system based on the Leogistics yard management S/4 backend. More details can be found in our blog post.

Speeding up material master data maintenance

Challenge: Material master data maintenance is a cross-functional long and tedious manual process – prone to errors.
Our solution: However, often relevant information is already captured within the development or engineering process upfront. Based on the previously established information in various documents, the LLM finds the right information and automatically passes it into the material master data. This reduces manual workload and increases data quality.

Topic: Processing incoming documents

Challenge: Incoming documents like invoices, payment advises and delivery notes have a broad variety in technical formats (e.g. mail, pdf, csv, excel, images) and the subsequent SAP processes must be triggered manually.

Our solution: Incoming documents are processed via Image Recognition, Character recognition and LLMs. Relevant information is extracted and passed to the SAP system. With the help of GenAI follow up processes are triggered through SAP API calls. There is NO document specific pre- or re-training necessary.
