Growing demand from industrial customers for convenient logistics solutions
Hamburg, January 17th, 2023 – leogistics GmbH, a subsidiary of cbs and a leading driver of the supply chain management of the future, has spun off a new software company, leoquantum GmbH, as of January 1, 2023. This will focus on the go-to-market and further development of the Process-as-a-Service platform myleo / dsc. Managing director of the spin-off will be André Käber. leoquantum GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Materna Group.
The aim of the spin-off is to raise the profile of both organizations – leoquantum and leogistics – so that both can focus more strongly on their respective core businesses and the needs of their customers. “We are noticing the high demand from our customers for simple and convenient logistics solutions. By reorganizing myleo / dsc as an independent company, we will be able to meet this even better in the future,” says André Käber, CEO leoquantum GmbH and founder of myleo / dsc. leogistics will devote more of its time to the consulting and service business in order to provide customers with even better support for their SAP S/4HANA transformation.

The spin-off also opens up the possibility for leogistics to move even closer to its parent company cbs. Particularly against the backdrop of the SAP S/4HANA transformation, which is currently occupying many existing and potential customers, there is a great deal of proximity in terms of content. With this in mind, Rainer Wittwen and Stefan Risse from the cbs management team will become the new managing directors of leogistics GmbH. They will be supported by Christiaan Carstens, who, as a member of the management team, will continue to manage the operational SAP business.
leogistics moves closer to parent company cbs
The myleo / dsc is an innovative process-as-a-service platform for plant and transport logistics that connects shippers, suppliers, logistics service providers and consignees. Since its founding in 2018, the team behind myleo / dsc formed a separate department and business unit within leogistics GmbH. However, the product business and the associated services have outgrown the parent company leogistics in the long term and are to stand on their own two feet from now on. The spin-off now focuses on the further development of the product, avoids resource conflicts with the SAP project business of leogistics GmbH and opens up the opportunity to position myleo / dsc as an independent brand and standard solution for plant and transport logistics processes.
