With passion to success: Nasser’s path as a driving force at cbs

Born in East Frisia but raised in Tehran, Nasser returned to Germany at the age of 14 and began his business degree at the Georg August University in Göttingen. He started his career in a management consultancy, where he worked as a consultant in the SAP SD module (Sales & Distribution) and later also in CRM and Customer Service. After this, he switched sides and worked for an end customer. He then became a project manager on the customer side. Nasser first came into contact with cbs in 2010 when he was still working for the end customer and cbs was working as a consultant for the company.

Nasser’s start at cbs and his leading role in Munich

A few years later, the next big step followed: Nasser joined cbs as a consultant in 2016. As he lived in Munich, it was only natural that he was assigned to the location of the same name, where he became active not only as a project manager, but also as a driving force in project management and came into contact with his first SAP S/4HANA projects.

From Munich to the US and back

After more than two years at cbs in Germany, he was offered an exciting challenge: to open up the American market for cbs. He moved to the US for three years, where he successfully built up the business together with Johannes Semel and Lorenz Praefcke, CEO of cbs America, before returning to Munich. In addition to his previous role, he also took over account management and the management of the PMO team. Today he is Senior Manager.

For Nasser, the focus is on people – be it in the management and responsibility of teams, in building long-term customer relationships or in project management with customers. He sees his task as successfully implementing projects with a healthy mix of personnel management and partnership-based cooperation.

He especially remembers the SAP rollout project together with Schmitz Cargobull. The project originally began with the implementation in one country and was subsequently expanded to three countries. Another highlight of his career after returning to Munich was working with the new customer Wieland as a template readiness project with rollouts in the US. Nasser currently acts as Program Manager for Germany and Account Manager at Wieland.

This philosophy characterizes his working style and drives him to continue contributing to the success of cbs. It is particularly important to him to keep the flag flying for SMEs and to continue to successfully support these customers in the future.

His advice to young colleagues:

Always put yourself in the customer’s shoes, think logically and act with common sense. Treat the customer as you would like to be treated yourself.

What he particularly appreciates about cbs is the “Power of Orange” – for him, it’s the strong team spirit. This willingness to help and the family atmosphere among colleagues are at the heart of the corporate culture for him. Whether it’s about supporting each other or working together to optimize processes, the focus is always on team spirit.

Since joining cbs, Nasser has witnessed the impressive growth of our company.

When I started, we were 300 to 400 employees – now we are around 1,500!

He is especially pleased with the development of the Munich site, which has received a further boost with a new office and where the good atmosphere is definitely noticeable. Of course, he is also experiencing the “Power of Orange” there and is happy to be part of this success.

His view of the future? To continue to contribute to the success of cbs!
