2024
Once a year, the entire cbs community comes together for two days of in-depth knowledge, training and an evening event at the annual Summer Summit. In addition to cbs, the subsidiaries Trebing + Himstedt, leogistics and p78 were also represented. Colleagues from all over the world came to Mannheim, including from Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, the USA, Singapore and Malaysia. The big Corporate Summit 2024 took place this time with around 900 people in the Mannheim Manufaktur at Bonadieshafen and was once again a special highlight of the year.

COMPETENCE DAY
The Summer Summit consists of the Competence Day, a day dedicated to the topic of continuing education with all business units and competence centers, the Summer Party and the Corporate Summit, which focuses on news about the cbs Group.
This time, there was an entertaining review of the numerous go-lives of recent months, lighthouse projects and highlights of the past year, reports from the various cbs business units and national companies, exciting discussions on stage and plenty of personal interaction in a relaxed atmosphere.

SUMMER PARTY
We cultivate a special corporate culture – this was clearly evident once again. We are human, we are personal, we meet at eye level. That makes us strong. This Power of Orange could be felt everywhere again. And this spirit is also a key factor for intact customer relationships and countless project successes,” adds Henning Krug, member of the management team and responsible for the Competence Day. The Power of Orange – that was the motto of the open-air party and it is also the employer brand of cbs.
The path to the future
CORPORATE SUMMIT
Demand for innovation projects and complex business transformations is high, despite the tense economic situation worldwide. We are continuing to grow strongly and sustainably. We don’t want to miss out on taking time for each other, getting to know new colleagues and exchanging ideas on a private level. This was and is very important to us. And with this in mind, the Summer Summit was once again great fun – it was a mega event for all of us,” explains CEO Rainer Wittwen.

An award for innovative excellence
INNOVATION AWARD
This year’s Innovation Award once again highlighted cbs’ exceptional innovative strength. The award is presented to projects that have generated particularly high added value for customers through innovation. Managing Director Holger Scheel personally recognized the outstanding achievements of the seven award winners and presented the awards to the proud winners. An audience award was also selected from the seven winners. For this, selected team members pitched their entries within two minutes to those present, who were then able to vote live.
This year, the N-ERGIE project team was delighted to receive the special award for its automated feed-in application for solar energy. cbs Solution Architect Alexander Buchkremer expertly presented the project in his two-minute pitch.
