SAP-based solution for legally compliant communication with tax authorities
Harman, a global specialist in connected car technology, has a very high volume of outgoing invoices at its production sites in India. The company therefore needs reliable partners to help it comply with local legal requirements when processing invoices. Whether it’s award-winning products such as the Harman Kardon Radiance 2400 wireless speaker or all-time classics, every invoice, credit note, and debit note must be validated by the Indian tax authorities within a strict timeframe. Around 4,500 transactions have to be processed every month. Errors are costly and unacceptable as they halt the sales process. Harman therefore uses the “cbs E-Invoice World Cloud,” an SAP-based cloud solution for the legally compliant processing of electronic communication with the authorities. Together, cbs and Harman have succeeded in meeting Indian e-invoicing requirements flexibly and reliably despite tight legal deadlines, constant short-term changes in legislation, and an ongoing global pandemic.
