cbs Graduates Programme: Voice of Our Graduate

By Aaron Lok

From the perspective of new graduates, it is generally challenging to enter the SAP industry without prior experience. While that’s true, I would still recommend this Graduates Programme if you’re willing to take the initiative to strive towards a better version of yourself!

The cbs Graduates Programme is designed to give us greater exposure and a holistic overview of the SAP core functional modules and the technical aspects of SAP (ABAP). I sincerely believe that this programme is perfect for recent graduates who decide to take the SAP certification before actually starting a career in this industry. At the end of this project, we had the opportunity to present the case study of an SAP implementation working closely with a hypothetical client. In such a way, we can better understand how all the modules can be integrated.

Personally, the most meaningful takeaway from this programme is learning to rely on others. One thing I’ve learned in working closely with mentors is that advisors can spend years honing skills in their respective modules and still be confronted with topics they’ve never known or seen before. In such situations, consultants can form close ties with other consultants who are more knowledgeable on the above issues and genuinely benefit from knowledge transfer.

Voice of our graduate

If you are a very motivated and passionate individual who enjoys roughing it out, your performance will consistently be recognised, and you will succeed in this company. Working in a supportive environment allows us to get the best out of each other in the organisation! It’s been a great experience at cbs.

At the end of the cbs Graduates Programme, we are expected to have a clear direction, such as which functional modules we wish to specialise. I greatly appreciate the flexibility that cbs has given us in selecting our respective modules!

Speaking of the work environment at cbs, it gives me a unique feeling that there is no hierarchy system in the office! I truly appreciate that we are treated as equals; even though we are new family members, we also feel motivated to support each other. Even if senior colleagues are busy with their roles and responsibilities, they are always eager to lend a helping hand when we meet difficulties.

Most importantly, the overall career development at cbs depends largely on “What you have to make of it”. If you are a very motivated and passionate individual who enjoys roughing it out, your performance will consistently be recognised, and you will succeed in this company. Working in a supportive environment allows us to get the best out of each other in the organisation! It’s been a great experience at cbs.
