Sometimes fate plays a decisive role: six years ago, Christin-Jasmin Schleidt drew her sister’s attention to cbs. Today, she herself has been part of the company for almost 1.5 years. When cbs was looking for a Digital Evangelist, her sister immediately thought of Christin – the perfect candidate for the role. Even back then, Christin was convinced: cbs must be a pretty cool company.
Before joining cbs, Christin gained valuable experience in product management, innovation management and as a squad owner for AI topics. She is originally a qualified banker, but her true passion lies in methodology and workshop design. Christin loves to inspire people and encourage them to think in new ways. Her mission: to create a working environment in which everyone feels comfortable and can develop their full potential.
In addition to her work at cbs, Christin recently completed her Master’s degree (MBA) in Digital Transformation. This degree enables her to perfectly combine theory and practice and further expand her expertise. For Christin, the MBA was not only a professional supplement, but also a personal enrichment on her way to new goals.
Starting as a Digital Evangelist, her position has evolved in an agile way and she is now an Agile Coach at cbs.
Agility and AI at cbs
For her, agility means reacting to change and is an attitude and mindset issue. Christin describes her work at cbs as introducing methodological approaches, conducting or moderating various workshops, but also initiating change processes that contribute to the agile mindset. In doing so, she supports the teams with agile frameworks and creates networks, as she enjoys connecting people.
If agility is consciously perceived, you are already on the right track.
Christin was also involved in the launch of the internal cbs AI initiative. The aim of this is to bring interested parties together and show that you don’t have to be afraid of AI, but on the contrary can work with it and that together we can create something great that will help the company move forward. The AI initiative is intended to lay the foundations for digitizing, automating and optimizing processes with AI.
She was also involved in founding the AI:mpact team. This is a core team that drives the topic of AI forward in a structured manner. The focus is clearly on customer orientation. The aim is to create added value for customers through the implementation of AI projects and process expertise. In addition, efforts are being made to bring AI expertise to a broad base at cbs.
Due to her previous work in innovation management, she has always been in contact with future-oriented topics and has repeatedly come into contact with them in her professional career.
She is pleased that the time has now come and that AI is gaining such awareness. She emphasizes that we can now see what it can do and what its potential is. But we’ve only just got going, there’s still a lot of room for improvement, she notes.
She doesn’t describe herself as a “techie”, but as the creative part. She also says that you can’t or shouldn’t defend yourself against AI, as it has enormous impact and conciseness. Her long-standing motto is: “Use it where it is right and important”.
Diversely active in the company
At the beginning, Christin had a lot of direct contact with other female colleagues and thus became a co-founder of the women’s network. She knows what it means to work as a woman in a male-dominated industry. She therefore wants to support women in not being intimidated and wants to create good synergies between women and men in a professional context. When you combine individual personalities and let them work together, it creates great synergies, she mentions. Supporting women and reconciling family and career are the reasons why she is involved in the women’s network. In addition to the women’s network, Christin is also one of the hosts of the podcast. In a recent episode, she turns from presenter to guest and talks about what agility means to her, what agile methods exist and what the success factors are, among other things.
What makes cbs special for Christin?
After a year and a half at cbs, she has realized how she has grown personally and what developments have taken place within the company. For her, the Power of Orange means supporting people and giving them the opportunity to grow.
Why does she work at cbs? Quite simply: the people who are at cbs. According to her, the company has many great people and also an outstanding CEO who is approachable and definitely lives the Power of Orange.
Although Christin is responsible for agility at cbs, she is present in various areas thanks to her diverse commitment. Others think it sounds like a lot of stressful work, but Christin loves her job and enjoys it.
