Management consultancy strengthens competitiveness in Europe.
Heidelberg, July 7th, 2025 – cbs Corporate Business Solutions has opened a new branch office in the Romanian capital, Bucharest. With this step, the successful management consultancy is further expanding its presence in Eastern Europe, driving international growth and positioning its global organization for the future. Due to the increasing demand for SAP consulting services for customers in Germany and Europe, cbs is expanding its capacities for consulting, development and migration services, as well as application management. “We are pleased that we can now open our new, efficient nearshore center in Romania. The new colleagues will improve our delivery capability and are a perfect fit for us,” explains Jürgen Remmert, one of the managing directors of the new branch and member of the cbs management team.
cbs has acquired the SAP division of Skyconsult SRL, including 40 experienced consultants who have been working on challenging projects for over ten years. As part of the takeover, some local customer relationships will also be transferred to the Heidelberg-based company. The new office in the metropolis of 1.7 million inhabitants, headed by local Managing Director Radu Vintila, will continue the existing projects and client relationships, thereby enabling cbs to enter the Romanian market. Essentially, however, the new team will act as a nearshore delivery center and support existing European innovation projects from Bucharest.
In doing so, cbs continues to uphold its reputation as a quality leader, by immediately involving the new team in training and innovation initiatives. “We already have a well-trained team in Romania, which will now benefit from the opportunities offered by cbs. In many classic shoring models, the countries only supply the products. We, on the other hand, will be able to take over complete sub-projects from Romania or provide a project manager,” Remmert explains.
40 SAP experts will work on European customer projects
“Our industrial customers often want us to make them an attractive offer in terms of price and to serve their projects with employees from the European time zone. We are happy to comply with this request. With the new branch, we are strengthening our competitiveness in the DACH region,” explains Remmert.
The new employees will initially contribute their expertise primarily in the areas of Application Management Services (AMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), ONE Finance, Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) and technology. “We would also like to strengthen in the areas of Landscape Transformation and Salesforce (cbs CX),” reveals Remmert.

The topic of employer branding also plays a role in the new company. This is because cbs also wants to be an attractive employer in the Balkans. There has already been a branch in Zagreb, Croatia, since 2022. At cbs in Romania, there is a wide range of exciting fields of activity for SAP experts – for example, as a transformation consultant, process and application consultant, technology expert or solution architect. Remmert emphasizes: “We want to make the cbs brand and our corporate culture better known in Romania so that we are interesting for potential candidates who can strengthen our local SAP consulting organization.”
