After working on extensive computer programs before even finishing school, Markus Geib earned his Diplom degree in industrial engineering from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences in 1999. He then got his start as a trainee at Gesis (the IT consulting branch of Salzgitter AG), where he subsequently worked as a consultant and project lead. A native of Mosbach (near Heilbronn), Germany, Geib took his SAP expertise to cbs in 2005.
He is now the consulting director responsible for global ERP solutions, logistics / supply chain management, manufacturing, sales and distribution, master data management, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Industry 4.0 at the company. He has also seen through groundbreaking S/4HANA projects and supported the SAP rollouts of well-known customers in mechanical and plant engineering, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and the automotive and high-tech industries.
In addition, Geib heads cbs Labs, where consultants and software engineers are hard at work developing the end-to-end digital business processes of tomorrow. Besides also overseeing the technology center cbs recently opened in Kuala Lumpur and the company’s Asia-Pacific offices in Singapore, he has served on the cbs executive board since 2017.
In the past, Markus Geib enjoyed venturing out on his own to countries as diverse as Ireland, Cuba, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. The father of two children now prefers to spend his vacations out on the farm. Along with a real passion for skiing, he has a soft spot for cars built by Dodge and other American manufacturers.
